Regional Observatories

Bea is Programme Manager at Yorkshire Futures, the Regional Observatory for Yorkshire and Humber.  She manages the observatory’s varied research programme which ranges from studies of personal finances to the implications of the ageing population. She joined Yorkshire Futures just over a year ago, having previously been responsible for evaluation at Yorkshire Forward, the Regional Development Agency.

Moving to the South West RDA Eleanor worked on evaluation for a time before moving to her current post looking after the Economy Module of the Regional Observatory.  She has produced a number of reports since starting last April - one of South West places in the recession and various data briefings. 

Eleanor previously worked in the Economics team at the Environment Agency - working on water quality, the economic impact of recreation on the waterways and the environmental cost of the Buncefield explosion.  She is currently working with partners around the region on Local Economic Assessments.
