ARO Network Event: Modelling & Forecasting Break Out Groups

The afternoon sessions at the ARO Network Event were split into two parallel groups, one looking at Demography (ageing and migration) and the other looking at Modelling and Forecasting.

Modelling & Forecasting Session 1

Stuart Kielty is Economic Reporting Manager within Yorkshire Forward’s Chief Economist Unit, and is responsible for Yorkshire Forward’s economic communications to government, local authorities and other partners. He is also responsible for Yorkshire Forward’s Integrated Forecasting Framework, including the development of the Regional Econometric Model functionality, its implementation and usage.

Matt Waltho is Research Manager at the Northwest Regional Intelligence Unit and leads on the Regional Research Programme. His main interest is in Environmental and Spatial Analysis and recent projects include the 'Environmental Considerations of Economic Growth' and 'Places' which have provided key evidence in shaping the direction of the Regional Strategy 2010.

  • Andrew Jamieson is the Senior Analyst at Insight East, the East of England Development Agency's Regional Intelligence Centre, and has been for nearly 18 months. He previously worked for the GO, in the planning team and, later, the housing team.

     

    Andrew Hermann is the Senior Research Analyst for enterprise and innovation within the West Midlands Regional Observatory.  As well as overseeing the Observatory's Scale of the Challenge programme in these areas, he is also responsible for the Integrated Policy Model.  Andrew has a background in economic development and regeneration, and has spent the last four years working on innovation support projects.
