ARO Network Event: Demography Break-Out Groups

The afternoon sessions at the ARO Network Event were split into two parallel groups, one looking Modelling and Forecasting and the other looking at Demography (ageing and migration).

Demography Break-Out Sessions

Katrina Hann - is a research manager within Experian’s economic policy team. She has managed a number of spatial, sectoral and thematic research and consultancy projects – specialising in evidence base generation, strategy and policy. Katrina’s current projects include the Yorkshire and Humber’s Ageing Population, Audit Commission financial implications of an ageing population, North West labour market characteristics of black and minority ethnic population, and Creative and cultural sector research in East Midlands.

John Hollis - has spent an entire working life in London Government 1968-69 and 1973-86 at GLC, 1986-2000 at London Research Centre, 2000-present at GLA. He has a Masters in Demography from University of California. He has been Chair of LARIA and President of British Society for Population Studies. He is on the ONS list of demography experts and sits on the national projections expert panel
